Who Am I:
I am Jennifer Stonefield, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#105820). I’ve always had a passion for psychology and going on the therapeutic journey with my clients reminds me of this every day. I have a wide array of clinical experience ranging from working with children in an educational setting to those suffering from dementia to individual work in several group private practices where age holds no boundaries.
I apply a person-centered approach when working with clients, as I believe that a “one size fits all” approach simply won’t cut it. At times, I take on a role as a therapist chameleon, continually adapting to my client’s needs; whether it’s playing a board game with a child to get them to open up, utilizing art therapy modalities with adults, or putting my own embarrassment aside and encouraging dance and movement as part of the therapeutic process.
I am passionate about mental health, the complexities that can occur within the treatment process, and I know that creating bonds with my client is essential, regardless of age. As part of this bond, I openly embrace the journey I take with my clients and encourage my clients to do the same.
I am looking forward to working with you!
